ABOUT ME
...I believe that everyone can sing...
Over the (ahem…20ish) years, I have helped hundreds of singers- from complete beginners and school children to West End stars and well known recording artists: Choral, Opera, Folk, Pop, Indie, Rock, Jazz and many Musical Theatre singers…each voice totally unique and amazing to work with.

I am passionate about high quality, well-informed coaching, vocal health and the welfare of my clients and I like to think that I’m pretty good at this!
I studied singing and pedagogy/vocal anatomy for 7 years with Barbara Robotham at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester- gaining my Postgraduate Diploma with Distinction and BMus (hons) and performing the leading soprano role of Magda in Puccini's La Rondine in my final year.

I then went on to have a very successful career as a principal soprano- I was awarded the BBC Performing Arts Fund (from the 'Fame Academy' TV programme) of £38'000 and toured the world singing fantastic roles in fantastic productions before settling down in Bristol to raise my two little boys.

As a vocal health advocate, I am now on the Vocal Rehabilitation Specialist pathway, having studied Fundamental Anatomy and Vocal Health First Aid with Vocal Health Education and Vocal Massage at the Voice Care Centre, Soho.
In 2023 I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to participate in Dissection of the Vocal Tract at Kings College London to further deepen my understanding of vocal anatomy.

I now run Bristol School of Voice (previously Bristol Voice Studio) and am the weekly visiting vocal coach to Bristol Cathedral Choir School- a position that I am proud to have held for 15 years. Alongside this I am regularly consulted for advice, coaching and guidance by many stage productions, TV shows/movies and talent competitions worldwide.

I offer a holistic approach. My hope is that by combining my understanding of vocal anatomy/technique with your enthusiasm/commitment, we can work together to identify the physical, mental and technical causes of vocal problems and unlock your true potential.

Sessions are held in a light, bright and airy room with a piano and a great acoustic.

Singers from age 8+, all abilities and styles taught.
Nervous (but enthusiastic!) beginners always welcome.
